SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday 4 Nov – wellness showcase at Concordia Liverpool

By Joel Jelen

Sharing a passion for continuous self-development is a familiar conversation for me and all my clients. SAVE THE DATE: Wednesday 4 November, 12 noon to 2pm Matthew “Matty” Maloney (pictured above), Kevin Morland and Gillian Watkins are hosting a free lunchtime wellness showcase at Concordia Liverpool.

In PR, you often become a confidante to clients, and it’s one of the many enjoyable parts of the role.

I imagine it happens in lots of industries. It was a conversation I had recently with Kevin Morland, co-founder of community PR client An Hour For Others, on a walk around Sefton Park.

We were talking about why more people in senior roles seem driven to explore self-development in 2026, and to encourage their teams to do the same. Of course, self development comes in many forms, including the physical, mental and psychological.

The conversation took us down a merry path, including Kev’s desire to pursue his wellness career ambitions alongside his AHFO co-founder role.

That focus has led him to take on an additional role at Concordia, a pioneering wellness centre on the edge of Liverpool city centre.

Neatly, Kev, fellow co-founder Gill, and Matty Maloney, a highly respected wellbeing figure in Liverpool and the UK, have come together to share their knowledge at a showcase next month.

It’s free to attend, and here’s what’s on:

A showround of the wellness centre, with a look at what’s on offer for you and your team

Networking with other high-calibre business guests from across the region

Complimentary food and drink

The hosts will also introduce their collaboration and explain why workplace wellbeing matters so much to them.

If you lead a team, look after people in your business, or simply believe good health is good business, this is an easy couple of hours to give yourself.

Come along, meet people, and see what’s possible.
