I’ve had the genuine pleasure of working with both for more than a decade and have known them for much longer.
They have recently raised over £100,000 through personal fundraising and by placing a discretionary £1 charity donation on each Lunya table’s bill to support local charities close to their hearts.
Elaine recently presented Liverpool blood cancer charity Bloom with a donation of £7500 from the last few months of this initiative (Elaine is pictured here with Churro and Abi Pointing, Chair of Bloom).
From this month, they are continuing to support Bloom and it’s a good example of how business and the community can work together to support local charitable initiatives who really have had a downturn in fundraising since the pandemic.
The vast majority of guests (from feedback) don’t complain about the extra pound either.
BTW I’ll be at Bloom’s Hope Street Hotel Lunch Fundraiser at 12.30pm next Thursday May 2nd.
Patron Roger Philips and Abi will be there on the day to share some more insights on the charity and how you could support further by spreading the word.
Tickets are just £60 per person, the food is absolute class and the company will be too, so plenty of reasons to look forward to it!
