One of Liverpool’s most popular comedy hotspots played host this month to the latest in a series of wellness-oriented showcases by Liverpool comedian Henry Churney and his CIC Laugh For Life Comedy.

Mixing stand-up comedy and mental wellbeing to create empowering courses has proved a great success for Churney since he began the organisation in February 2024.

He enthused: “Comedy as a vehicle to improve an individual’s mental wellbeing has been very well received since we began delivering courses last year across Merseyside. 

“Laugh For Life Comedy has brought together so many people, from the participants, to their families and friends and we demonstrated this again at the Hot Water Comedy Club earlier this month.

“I’m delighted that we secured the support of Matt Jones as guest MC with the whole evening showcase made possible by Merseycare NHS Trust to whom I’m very grateful. Huge thanks to support of The National Lottery Community Fund and Life Rooms – Walton too,”
