My mum is the former light featherweight champion of East London in our house.
She put down the gloves on her 81st birthday, just four years before the revelation that the World Boxing Championships is being held in Liverpool next month!
Not to be disheartened, she told me this week in celebrating her 85th birthday with my dear aunt and uncle that she’d love to be at the gig being held at the M&S Bank Arena Liverpool.
Incidentally, her local M&S just moved out of the area we grew up in and she announced like a chancellor of the exchequer that this would have knock-on effects for the regional economy!
She also loves the fact that thanks to the generosity of the organisers, the Lord Mayor’s charity campaign #chainreaction has been gifted the only official VIP hospitality for the World Boxing Championships.
The two exclusive nights are the 5th & 9th September inside the Sodexo Live! Lounge.
All proceeds support the Lord Mayor’s chosen charity charities with the inspirational Barbara Murray joining us on the night.
Genuinely, tickets are very limited. View them here…https://ticketquarter.co.uk/Online/default.asp?doWork%3A%3AWScontent%3A%3AloadArticle=Load&BOparam%3A%3AWScontent%3A%3AloadArticle%3A%3Aarticle_id=EAA17C07-0E1D-4358-B343-C595F08FF798
Equally, there are some final, short supply, sponsorships left.
DM me to get your hands on the latter.
