Mel Kelly became Cheshire Woman of the Year in 2024. She’s passionate about raising funds and awareness since her brain tumour diagnosis and is a walking inspiration to many people she meets. Her beaming smile hides the groan she feels every time I tell her one of my dad jokes.
Barbara Murray the new Lord Mayor of Liverpool popped in to greet guests and talk about the importance of skills acquisition in order for local people to get the best jobs and rid themselves of poverty. Barbara is a shining example to many people given her dedication over the decades in Liverpool, to education and the impact on people’s well-being.
The Lord Mayor also spoke about her Chain Reaction campaign and how people can help e.g. via if they have an event that could support the Lord Mayor’s charities?
