If you offer deep, multiple industry insights into both traditional sectors and tech-driven ones like me, you’re hopefully enjoying the challenge of both worlds right now.
I’ve always enjoyed working in diverse sectors that include but are not restricted to property development, construction, regeneration and wealth management alongside new growth sectors driven by tech including wellness, personal finance and maritime.
On the latter, there are some fascinating tech sector initiatives going on in the city of Liverpool right now led by the likes of Gavin Sherratt & GoodShip* amongst others.

In collaboration with Alex Keyter of Generative Minds UK who is always on hand at GoodShip events to deliver expert demos, I attended the Liverpool-based firm’s latest gig last week in the Cotton Exchange.
The subject matter involved the role of AI in medicine and veterinary care, clearly of interest to guest Tom Reynolds SLE’s best friend who sat obediently near the front.
The AI and Tech For Good get together included panellists Sam Whelan – a medical lead in urgent care, alongside Jo Parkington midwife and founder of EricaAi.
With Ben Sweeney from VidiVet, Rory Kane and John Whalley also in attendance, it was a room full of calibre and I’m looking forward to the next instalment.
I highly recommend you keeping an eye on these guys and their future showcases.
