Got an email recently informing me I’ve been shortlisted for PR & Communications Personality of the Year 2026 at the Downtown Liverpool Awards.
Just been assessing my personality chances as a teetotal, hat-wearing, breathwork-obsessed Gooner from London who’s spent years pretending to pass as a Scouser and still hasn’t fully nailed it…
I don’t drink at do’s, I probably over-explain the nervous system at networking events, and I’m trying to fend off an internationally recognised chap and CEO in Nick Howe.
Then there’s one of the loveliest people you could meet, Rebecca Keegan who typically, founded Good News Liverpool and is head of marketing at Morecrofts LLP.
Finally, Ben Turner is a journalist of some distinction and discretion, comms director and, stand-up comedian to boot!
It’s lovely to be shortlisted (my mum’s made up) alongside people doing great work across Liverpool’s business scene and much further afield – who’ve been successfully at it for decades.
I’ll be the sober one in the eight point stoker (hat) if you’re at the ceremony this Autumn — come say hello.
