Been walking everywhere these past two days after my car got written off at the garage after going in for a routine service.
Took routes through parks to appreciate the trees and their protection from the ‘hotter than’ climate right now!
Not complaining though.
Love the summer.
And trees.
They reminded me of The Mersey Forest series of events coming up this Autumn, one of which includes The Science of the Forest: People, Nature and Climate – their free, full-day conference happening on Thursday 11 September in Liverpool.
It’s not just for tree geeks though!
It will cover the science behind establishing, managing and nurturing a culture of trees, woodlands and other habitats.
They will share how this work enriches lives, supports communities, helps nature flourish and strengthens climate resilience.
Details include:
Hearing from a fantastic line-up of confirmed speakers
Exploring the latest research shaping the future of people, nature and climate
Enjoying lunch, refreshments and networking
Location: James Parsons Building, Liverpool John Moores University
3 Byrom Street, Liverpool L3 3A
Time: 9:30am to 4:30pm
