Some genuinely good news for Liverpool’s built environment community: the Forum for the Built Environment is relaunching.
I was on the committee back in 2005, and it’s hard to overstate what a vibrant scene it was at the time — a genuine cross-section of the city’s property, construction and development world, in the same room, talking to each other rather than past each other.
Twenty years on, Liverpool’s skyline and ambitions have changed considerably.
What hasn’t changed is the value of a forum like this — a space where the people actually shaping the city can compare notes, challenge each other, and build the kind of relationships that don’t happen over email.
Looking forward to seeing where this next chapter takes it, and to reconnecting with some familiar faces along the way.
If you were around the Forum in its earlier days, or you’re involved in Liverpool’s built environment now, I’d love to hear your thoughts on the relaunch in the comments.
