One of the highlights of my week in work last week was being in the presence of An Hour for Others co-founder Kev Morland.
In addition to his daily focus on making the world a better place through community cohesion, Kev is also a highly skilled practitioner in hypnotherapy, mindfulness and wellbeing.
His work is helping so many people transition from what is often a very difficult place to a better place.
I sat with Kev one evening midweek and observed him lead a group of people, encouraging them to move on.

Helping each person in the group overcome some of life’s setbacks is Kev’s motivation.
Some of the work on the course, which is based on a six week programme, is very much about a mindset shift towards true, lasting, positive change.
It was my first visit to the group. I heard how people felt so much lighter in life by developing tools and techniques that Kev has nurtured in them to reduce stress and anxiety.
Mindfulness has been at the centre of the learning and Kev has generated some fantastic testimonials from the various groups who’ve been fortunate enough to experience the programme to date.
Crucially, he’s helped so many people to discover their inner strength.
If the workshop was a movie, you would’ve had watery eyes.
In a week that has rightly seen AHFO co-founder Gill Watkins shortlisted for Merseyside woman of the year, Kev deserves acclaim for his work outside of AHFO too.
I’m sure everybody who has met Kev via his own work and through An Hour For Others says the same.
A really special human. As is Gill. They were made for each other.
